About Time

So I've been slacking off on writing my first blog post. I tried for a while to decide what the "First" post should be but that never worked out so here it is. Alot has been going on in the Harper household recently. James was recently promoted to Manager at Papa Johns, this is great for us because now I am able to use the van during the day to take the boys out and about more. This also gives me more of a chance to spend money so I'm not sure if that is so great.

I've been having a lot of fun with the boys recently. I feel like my hormones have finally settled down from having Jeremiah and I am able to be Happy again. I still have depressed moments, mostly when nothing in the day goes right but I try to just relax and see how blessed I am to be hanging out with these crazy kids all day everyday. Austin has been emerging from his shell more and more recently. He used to be too shy to talk to anyone and now he talks to everyone he sees usually as long as he gets to make the initial contact. He still doesnt like to be pushed into social interaction, he likes to figure it out for himself. It really made me think today about all the people who ask the "socialization" question when it comes to homeschooling. I will agree that Austin may not have a ton of interaction with other 4 year olds but he has plenty of socialization opportunities. Today he ordered his food and requested a drink refill at Chickfila, questioned every employer we came across at Hobby Lobby, chatted it up with an older couple while we had hotdogs at Sam's and basically talked non stop from the time we got in the van to the house.

Jacob is following well in Austin's footsteps. I forget sometimes that he is only 2 and that his understanding of conversation is just not the same as Austin's and he and I both can get frustrated easily when we dont understand what the other one is talking about. I do believe that he fits the middle child to a T. He is very strong willed and although that comes as a challenge to James and I most days, I try not to squash that because I know it can serve him well in life. He is a very funny little boy and he definitely keeps us laughing.

Now onto my baby Jeremiah. he is growing everyday. He is crawling now, which he had no interest in doing for the longest time. Today while we were playing outside he was even trying to walk with the assistance of the little lion we have. He kept watching Austin and Jacob wizz by him and was really wanting to do the same and I know that he will be soon enough!

Now a little update on me. Now that I feel I have more energy I have started a women's study "Wife after God's own heart" with my friend Bobbie and her SIL Tanya. I think this will be a great study for me and I am really looking forward to what God has to show me while learning more about Him and also learning more about James. Oh and a little side note I am looking into starting my own at home business making cloth diapers and other things so we shall see how that goes.
